KNOW BEFORE YOU GO!!

  1. DO YOUR HOMEWORK – You are going to find a wide variety of options available when it comes to exploring the Las Vegas Strip, Hoover Dam and the Grand Canyon by helicopter.  Tours include quick flyovers of the Strip from Las Vegas, 15-30 minute view of the Strip, Lake Mead and Hoover Dam departing from different locations, 1 hour flights over the Grand Canyon and extended flights with exciting landings on the canyon floor which include lunch and Champaign.  Figure out what you want in a tour and how much you have to spend BEFORE YOU GO.  Doing a little homework can save you BIG $$$.

  2. ALWAYS BOOK IN ADVANCE – My #1 recommendation  - book your helicopter ride well in advance!  Las Vegas and the Grand Canyon are extremely popular tourist attractions especially when it comes to helicopter adventures. If you expect to show up at the tour operator office and hop on a helicopter, you may be unpleasantly surprised. It’s not uncommon for them to be completely booked several weeks in advance.  Sure, last minute flights are sometimes available but you will probably pay at least double the advance purchase price.

  3. ALWAYS BOOK ONLINE – This is important!  Why?  When you book your tour DIRECTLY WITH THE HELICOPTER TOUR COMPANY you can avoid “additional booking fees” that are charged by Expedia, Travelocity, Orbitz, Kayak, travel agents, the hotel concierge, or any number of other methods who will offer to take your credit card number to get you on the most profitable tour.

  4. AVOID “STREET PEOPLE” – You’ll find numerous venders in Las Vegas that I like to call “street people”.  They will sell you discount tickets!  The problem is, they sometimes end up selling tickets to over-booked tours causing you to have to wait until the next day or even longer to be wait-listed with the helicopter tour operator.  It’s not the helicopter company’s fault and they do their very best to accommodate you but it makes for an awkward situation.

  5. IT’S OK TO GAMBLE IN THE CASINO – BUT DON’T GAMBLE WHEN IT COMES TO A HELICOPTER TOUR!!    Use the Helicopter Tour Guide Grand Canyon as an honest resource for information and prices then use the tour link in the Guide to safely go directly to the HELICOPTER TOUR COMPANY website to make your reservation.  When it comes right down to it, YOU will always make the best decision for YOU.
