Las Vegas and the Grand Canyon are extremely popular tourist attractions especially when it comes to helicopter adventures. If you expect to show up at the tour operator office and hop on a helicopter, you may be unpleasantly surprised. It’s not uncommon for them to be completely booked several weeks in advance. Sure, last minute flights are sometimes available but you will probably pay at least double the advance purchase price.

ALWAYS BOOK ONLINE – This is important! Why? When you book your tour DIRECTLY WITH THE HELICOPTER TOUR COMPANY you can avoid “additional booking fees” that are charged by Expedia, Travelocity, Orbitz, Kayak, travel agents, the hotel concierge, or any number of other methods who will offer to take your credit card number to get you on the most profitable tour.

AVOID “STREET PEOPLE” – You’ll find numerous venders in Las Vegas that I like to call “street people”. They will sell you discount tickets! The problem is, they sometimes end up selling tickets to over-booked tours causing you to have to wait until the next day or even longer to be wait-listed with the helicopter tour operator. It’s not the helicopter company’s fault and they do their very best to accommodate you but it makes for an awkward situation.
