Grand Canyon Landing Package – I have flown over the Grand Canyon a couple of times but I had never been on a helicopter tour that landed on the canyon floor until I buckled up with Mustang/Maverick Helicopters for another mind blowing experience! As soon as we got to the West Rim, we started our 3800 foot decent into the canyon for exquisite views of the canyon walls. There is no other way to have this kind of awe inspiring vista of layer upon layer of sedimentary compaction unequaled by any other geological wonder.

Grand Canyon Landing Tours
The Grand Canyon Landing Tours are the most popular of all the tours. This tour is approx. 45 minutes flight time over Hoover Dam, Lake Mead, Fortification Mountain, culminating in the 4000 ft. decent into the Grand Canyon where your pilot lands on the Hualapai Indian Tribal land overlooking the Colorado River. The helicopter unloads and you have about 30 minutes to check out the scenery and have a picnic lunch, take photos and learn a little about the formation of the Grand Canyon. The tour resumes with the flight back making a quick stop at the fuel farm. What I love about this tour is the fact that you play musical chairs with each landing so that everyone has the opportunity to enjoy a front row seat. The views are spectacular and the thrill of takeoff and landing in the Grand Canyon is well worth the extra money. Landing Tours are available through:
